Phyllis C. (Pulsifer) (Wagner) Wilson, age 70, of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born in Geneva, Ohio, on August 4, 1951, to the late Don Pulsifer and Janet A. Watson. Phyllis was a beautiful, feisty tomboy who challenged the norm by advocating for women’s sports back in the sixties. Spending her younger adult life playing basketball, softball and volleyball. She worked for 27 years as a Drafting Engineer for Alltel Corp. and was a longtime member of both the American Legion and VFW. She loved spending time with family and friends and alone time watching her “shows”. She was very much a “Social Buterfly” who will be missed my many. She is survived by her children, Sherri (Brian) Hommes and Georgia Wagner; step-children, Mark Wagner, Meriba Barker, Rita Wagner, and Laura Wagner; grandchildren, Laden Hommes, Isaiah Hommes, Noah Hommes, Matthew Wagner, Angelica (Ashlee) Ortiz and their son, Elijah Joel Duane Ortiz, as well as many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Melanie (Bert) Landon, Norman (Anu) Landon, Gary (Molly) Landon, Ashley Pulsifer, Janice (Bill) Fusco, Allan Pulsifer, and Kathy Pettit. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Palmer Duane Wagner; her parents, Don Pulsifer and Janet A. (Watson) Landon, her step-father; Henry M. Landon; and her brother Arthur Pulsifer. The family wishes to thank the many who spent time loving and caring for her prior to her passing. Their willingness to help during this time was greatly appreciated.
