Robert E. Benedict

Robert E. Benedict, age 89, of Huntsburg, OH., passed away early February 1st, 2022, at Andover Village Nursing Home. Born on May 1st, 1932, in Cambridge Springs, PA to parents; June (Rockwell) Benedict, and Willis R. Benedict. Robert married (the late) Beverly Quinn Benedict in Newton Falls. OH. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army in March of 1951, and served honorably until Oct. 25th, 1957. He was a part of the U.S. Army basketball team and played in many countries, he also was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching car races, and he enjoyed playing poker, the lottery, and going out dancing with his wife. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Robert was a General Foreman for RMI Titanium for over 30 years. He is survived by his loving children; Lisa (Dennis) Ludwig of Beaufort, SC, David (Roberta) Benedict of Williamsfield, OH, and Karen (Bob) Chah of Meadview, AZ, his grandchildren; Brandy Russell, Mindy White, Corey Benedict, Cody Benedict, Robert Hodgkinson, Tim Goodman, Collin Hodgkinson, Tabitha Goodman, Zachary Benedict, Roberta “Berta” Benedict, and his beloved great-grandchildren; Jay’Veion Ware, Ryan Goodman, Scarlet Hodgkinson, and Carson Benedict. Robert is also survived by his grand fur babies; Roxxy, Apple, Rizzo and Monkers. He is preceded in death by his parents, June and Willis, his loving wife Beverly, his children; Robert and Timothy Benedict, his grandson; Timmy Benedict, and his siblings; Willis Benedict Jr., Ronald Benedict, Ralph Benedict, and Linda Hillard. A Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, February 6th, 2022, from 3pm-5:30pm (with a Service starting at 5:30pm) at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd., Geneva, Ohio, 44041. Family and friends are invited to gather immediately following services at the V.F.W. in Geneva (76 Depot Street, Geneva, OH.) for a meal. A private graveside burial will be planned for the Summer of 2022 in Cambridge Springs, PA.
