Adolf (Sam) Emil Sammet, 89, of Madison, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at home with his family at his side.
He was born November 23, 1934, in Leroy, Ohio to Adolf Sammet Sr. and Anna Brenner.
On February 18, 1957, he married Anna Kender in Jeffersonville, Indiana and together they shared 67 years of love and memories.
Sam was the proud owner of Sammet Towing and Salvage. When not working, he enjoyed antiques, vintage cars, saltwater fishing, and spending time with family and friends on Sanibel Island.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna Sammet; children, Adolf (Jr.) Sammet (Glenda), Mary Sammet (Tom), and Chris Sammet; grandchildren, Melissa King, Miles King, Logan Sammet, Harper Sammet, Eric Sammet, and Nick Sammet; great-grandchildren, Zackery Sammet, and Mason Sammet.
A private service will be held on Sanibel Island at a later date.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
