Alice J. Beachey, age 68, of Conneaut, passed away at Cleveland Clinic on January 3, 2026, after her battle with ALS. Alice was born on November 22, 1957, in Conneaut, OH., to parents Richard and Anna (Slocum) Spaulding.
Alice married her love, John Beachey, in 1978, and together they started their family. Alice was a waitress at the Silver Diner, and after earning a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Kent State University, she worked as a substitute teacher and volunteer for Conneaut City Schools, helping with the PTA and Band. If you asked Alice, she would tell you that her most important job, besides raising her children, was helping to raise her grandson, nieces and nephews, and her proudest moment was them honoring her with the distinguished award of Best Grandma and Mom in the World!
Christmas was Alice's favorite season – she started decorating every year in September. She loved to swim, travel, sew, and make crafts with her friends and family. Alice really enjoyed going to the swap meet with her grandson Caden to find Hot Wheels while riding together on the golf cart.
Alice is survived by her husband John Beachey; her children Kimberly (George Furry) Beachey, John R. (Sarah Bodry) Beachey, and Allison (David) Fogle; and her grandson Caden Furry, whom she cherished. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Spaulding, Linda Spaulding, Joseph (Rosanne) Spaulding, Christina (Barry) Crilley, Donna (Ernie) Riffe; her beloved nieces and nephews Barry (Gretchen) Crilley Jr., Stephanie (Ronnie) Martinez, Joshua Riffe, David Keller, Mario Billow, Amanda (Bill) Reeder, and Marc Spaulding; and her great-nieces and great-nephews Stella, Anna, and Meryl Crilley; Marley Franzeskos; Ronnie and Alice Martinez; and, Benjamin and Jack Spaulding.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents Hazel Lenhart, and Mabel and Henry Slocum, and her niece Jennifer Spaulding. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws Gladys and Samuel Beachey, sisters-in-law Jan Spaulding and Margaret Beachey, and her brothers-in-laws Phillip Beachey and Donald Beachey.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held in Alice's honor on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Sheldon Calvary Camp, 4411 Lake Rd., Conneaut, OH., 44030, from 4pm to 6pm. All are welcome.
