Angel C. Maldonado

Angel C. Maldonado, 80, of Madison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at his family home after a courageous 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born on April 25, 1945, in Morovis, Puerto Rico, Angel was the son of Angel Sr. and Modesta Maldonado. He carried his Puerto Rican roots with pride throughout his life, bringing warmth, strength, and a deep sense of family wherever he went.

Angel was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Donna, whom he married on October 29, 1977, in Ohio. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and shared memories.

Angel dedicated 23 years of service to the Greater Cleveland Transit Authority, where he was honored as RTA Employee of the Year. He was also proud to serve as president of the Lawman Motorcycle Club, reflecting his passion for motorcycles and camaraderie.

In his free time, Angel enjoyed billiards, fishing, boating, watching Cleveland Indians games, and riding his motorcycle. He especially loved taking long walks and spending time with family and friends.

Angel is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Stephen and Pam Maldonado, Laura and John Ciresi, and Larry and Karla Jarrett. He was a proud grandfather to Ashleigh, Anjelica, Augustus, Emily, Matti, Keira, and Nathan, and a cherished great-grandfather to Brayden and Niccoli. Angel is also survived by his siblings, Hector, Alex, Norberto, Ana, Delilah, Maria, Nelida, Lidia, Lola, and Mercedes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angel Sr. and Modesta Maldonado.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Angel’s final days.
