Anne A. Hegarty, 86, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, Ohio.
She was born February 8, 1938, in Glasgow, Scotland to Daniel and Agnes (McTaggert) Dolan. On November 11, 1960, she married Donal Thomas Hegarty.
Anne was a loving wife and homemaker who loved spending time with her family and taking care of them. In her spare time, she enjoyed puzzle books and cooking her homemade soup.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Modic and husband Edward J Modic, Jr. and Catherine Murphy and husband Jerry Murphy; grandchildren, Christopher Modic, Brandon Modic, Amanda Niblick and her husband Zach, Taylor Castellano and her husband Mike, Jaime Murphy, and Jared Murphy; great grandchildren, Lynaya Modic, Gavin Modic, Hailey Modic, Alyssa Modic, Brandon Modic, Allayna Modic, Addison Modic, and Marlowe Niblick; brother, Andrew Dolan.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Donal Thomas Hegarty; daughter, Moira Ciborek; great-grandchildren, Alayna Modic and Madison Theresa Modic; parents, Daniel and Agnes (McTaggert) Dolan; siblings, Gerald Dolan, Marie Dick, and Daniel Dolan.
A celebration of Anne's life will held at a later date. After cremation, she will be laid to rest with her husband in Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
