Arlene Wise

Arlene Wise, 72, of Euclid, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1954, in Wadsworth, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Helen Shannon. Arlene spent most of her life in Wadsworth and dedicated herself to her work as a bookkeeper at Drug Mart in Wadsworth for more than 25 years.

Arlene enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns, Guardians, Cavaliers, and Ohio State Buckeyes; reading; talking in R’s; watching cooking shows and Little House on the Prairie; and spending time with family and friends.

Although Arlene faced many health challenges in recent years, she showed strength and perseverance rooted in her deep Christian faith. Arlene found comfort, hope, and peace in her relationship with Jesus, and her family finds comfort in knowing that her struggles have ended and that she is now resting peacefully with Him in heaven. She entered eternal peace on September 6, 2026.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, and is survived by her children: Anthony Wise (Jenna), Pauline Shranko (Andrew Montague), Frank Shannon (Tara), and Tia Wise (Josh Smith); and her stepchildren: Maria Wise-Jackson (Victor Jackson), Angie Wise-Golden (Will Golden), Carla Castillo, and Brian Wise.

She is also survived by her siblings, Kathie Phillips (Kenneth), Joyce Thomas (the late Ted), and Scott Shannon (Kim).

Arlene leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Arlene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory, love, and impact on her family will live on forever.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Arlene’s life, share memories, and honor the love she brought to so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 27, at 12:00 p.m. at Henn Mansion (in Sims Park) 23131 Lakeshore Boulevard, Euclid, Ohio 44123.
