Barbara Marie Cook, 80, of Jefferson, passed away November 4, 2020 in Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born November 15, 1939 in Ashtabula, the daughter of the late Frank and Medora (Corlew) Sespico. Barbara graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1957 and on February, 8, 1958 she married Dannie J. Cook at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and shared 51 years of love and memories before his passing.
Barbara worked as a crossing guard, school bus driver, and ran the Greenhouse at Ash/Craft Industries for 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crotchet, Bingo, playing cards, and visiting Casinos.
She is survived by her children: Thomas (Janice) Cook of Ashtabula, Paul (Julie) Cook of Kingsville, Cindy Reger of Jefferson, and Christopher Cook of Florida; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosilyn Allan of Mercer, PA; brother, Frank (Diann) Sespico of Andover, MA.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dannie J. Cook on June 3, 2009; her son, Philip J. Cook on April 10, 2018; and her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva (440) 361-2273. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
Burial will be in Gageville Memorial Cemetery in Sheffield Township.
