Barbara Jean Evans, 77, of Madison, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
She was born September 24, 1945 in Lockhaven, PA to the late John I. Engles and Mary Ann (Edwards) Wardzella. After moving to Ohio, Barbara graduated from Shaw High School and went on to work for Cerro Copper and Brass. On May 14, 1964 she married Frederick Evans who preceded her in death September 13, 2017.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lynda Jane Allen (Hughie Henderson); siblings, Robert Engles (Linda), Diane Passerell (David), and Cecelia Delsanter (William); grandson, Allen Phillips (Jennifer); great-granddaughter, Mia Ray Phillips; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Evans; parents, John I. Engles and Mary Ann (Edwards) Wardzella; grandmother, Minnie Edwards; sisters, Mary Ann Smith, and Minnie Louise Grugel.
A private family graveside service will be held On Wednesday July 19, 2023 in Arcola Cemetery in Madison, Ohio.
