In Loving Memory of Barbara Joyce Huffman
June 25, 1942 – May 30, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Joyce Huffman, who left this world peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on June 25, 1942, Barbara was the proud and devoted mother of Brian Huffman (Debbie), Sandra Leary (Sid), and Jodi Niciu (Shawn); the beloved grandmother of Michael Leary (Emily), Brittany Fleischer, Megan Schussler (Nick) and Faith Rhodabarger; and the cherished great-grandmother of five beautiful great-grandchildren. She is also remembered with love by her lifelong friends, Ruth Palmer, Marge Tuttle and MaryAnn Phelps.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nan Bloom.
For 26 years, Barbara owned and operated New Horizons commercial cleaning company where she poured her hard work, determination, and heart into everything she did. Outside of work, she found joy in riding horses, reading her Bible, cooking for her family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren — roles she treasured deeply.
Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and her favorite Bible verse, John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" — brought her great comfort and strength.
A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
Her love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
