Betty L. Austin

Betty L. Austin, age 97, also known as, Mom, Grandma, G-Grandma and GG moved on to Paradise after a long and loving life. She raised five children from the coal mining community of West Virginia to North East Ohio where she found her calling serving nursing home residents and finally transitioning to serve the developmentally disabled. Here she found her true joy and served many homes in the area finally retiring at 88 years old. She was known for her quick wit and snappy comebacks but always with a twist of sugar. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam, Daughter Rusty, Son James, and Grandsons Joshua and Thomas. Betty is survived by her children Nanci (Jann), Rick (Gloria), and Keith (Janice); brother Guy Douglas Shelton; 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
