Brad Thomas Wieck

Brad Thomas Wieck, 78, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on August 14, 2026, at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 8, 1947, in Menominee, Michigan, Brad was the son of Gordon Wieck and June Boortz. He graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in Wisconsin and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. During the Vietnam War, he served with the 197th Aviation Company as a helicopter crew chief, a role he carried with pride throughout his life.

On November 18, 1989, Brad married the love of his life, Ann Johnson Hill, in Fort Worth, Texas. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Brad was a man of many interests and simple pleasures. He enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, spending time shooting sporting clays, and relaxing days of fishing. He valued friendship deeply and considered many of his friends to be as close as family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Wieck; his daughter, Gwen Spencer; stepchildren, Jerry Hill and his wife, Paula, of Texas, and Terry Hill of Texas; granddaughter, Rebecca Leonard; step granddaughter, Kerstin Hill (Zeke Graham) of California, and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his brother, Dean; his sisters, Lynn, Cathy, and Ellison

Brad was preceded in death by his first wife, Jan; his parents, Gordon Wieck and June Boortz; and his sister, Andrea Gilbert.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the many friends who enriched Brad’s life and stood by him through the years, especially Chris and Natalie Sukalac and their daughters, Caitlin and her husband Tyler Wawroski, Emily and her husband Brandon Hagerdon, Haley Sukalac, and Lauren Sukalac.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Brad will be laid to rest at Edgewood Cemetery.
