Obituary

On 12/23/23, Bruce Allan Miller (74), a proud Marine and our families' hero took his final breath, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts. He was a loving father, devoted brother, loyal husband and friend like no other. His loyalty to his family and friends is what made him so very special.

Bruce proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years attaining the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He was decorated with numerous awards and commendations. These accolades serve as a testament to his unwavering dedication and his exceptional service to his country.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Bruce was a man of great character. He had a warm personality that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was the definition of a true friend, right or wrong he had your back. Always ready to lend a hand, offer advice or just there to listen.

Growing up in Kirtland, Ohio Bruce was an outstanding athlete. He excelled in pole-vaulting, and held numerous rushing records for the Kirtland Hornet football team.

In his free time he knew how to let loose and have fun. He enjoyed boating, skiing (water and snow), loved to golf and play weekend softball. He passed down his love of music to each of his children. He certainly embraced life to the fullest and always found joy in the simplest of moments.

Bruce leaves behind a grieving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife Julie (Rawlings), siblings: Barry, Barb Conklin, Bonnie Brewster, twin sister Becky Fisher and Brian, his children: Tim (Cindy), Tammi (Scott McGlothin), Terry, and Travis (Megan), Rob Whitlow (Shelly), Tom Whitlow (Jane), Jeff Whitlow (Niki). Grandchildren: Christina Bacnik, Cory Miller, Matt Harless, Mike Harless, Paul McGlothin, Courtney Miller, Taylor Marron, Terry Miller II, Samantha Whitlow and Everi Grahame.
