Bryan Michael Smrdel (Screwy), age 61, of Madison, Ohio, and formerly of Eastlake, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his home from cancer.

He was born November 8, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John and Alice Smrdel. Bryan attended Eastlake North High School and also attended the Auburn Career Center. He was a master tool and die maker and worked in various positions with Bertin Steel for 8 years, and was a tool and die maker at Hamilton mold for 22 years, before finishing his career at Mar-Bal in Painesville.

Bryan was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and loved riding his 2005 Blue Ultra Classic and his 1970 Fat Boy. He also enjoyed woodworking, sewing, cooking, Chinese Kempo, and an occasional drink with his friends.

He is survived by his sister, Poppy Hannah of Florida and niece, Rebecca (Marc) Norman. Bryan also leaves behind many friends that loved him and will miss him dearly.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Alice Smrdel; his Great Dane furbabies, Cleo and Stella; brother, Donald Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio 44057. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.

In place of flowers, contributions can be made to the Madison Food Bank, 1954 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio 44057.
