Carole Edna Burress, 79, of Willowick, Ohio passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

She was born on September 6, 1946, in Painesville, Ohio to the late Walter and Alice (Conley) Silsby Sr and graduated from Kirtland High School.

Carole attended Dyke College and built a successful career with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, retiring after many years of dedicated service as an executive secretary in the Clinical Engineering Department.

As a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she lovingly decorated American Legion Post 678 for every holiday and special occasion, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflected her caring spirit and creativity.

She was a loyal friend to many and cherished the lifelong friendships she made throughout the years.

Above all, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories through her love and creativity. She took pride in making their birthday cakes, sewing homemade Halloween costumes, and celebrating every milestone with thoughtfulness and care. Her love for her grandchildren was evident in everything she did, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her children, Marshelle (Ron) Stoss, Christopher (Debbie) Beemiller Sr., Steve (Susan) Burress and Scott Burress; grandchildren, Jordan (Dillan) Munnings, Nicholas Stoss, Steve Stoss, Christopher Beemiller Jr., Cameron Beemiller, Geoffrey Burress and Benjamin Burress; great grandchildren, Scarlet Munnings, Lincoln Munnings, Carter Brady and Callen Burress; sisters Marcia Sage and Cindy Senol.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice (Conley) Silsby; husband Robert Burress, granddaughter, Erika Brady; brother, Walter Silsby Jr.

Family and friends are welcome to attend graveside services at Kirtland Cemetery, date to be determined. A Celebration of Life will follow at Don Tequila Restaurant on Lakeshore Blvd. in Eastlake, where family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and honor her life.
