Carolyn Louise Slider, age 75, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2023 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents James Slider and Madeline Mathews Slider of Conneaut, OH. Carolyn worked for many years in Medical Records and served as Medical Staff Secretary at Warren General Hospital in Warren, Pennsylvania. She developed her career as a Registered Nurse at Shriner's Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania, and UH Conneaut Medical Center in Conneaut, Ohio. Through her years of hospital service, she developed many long-term friendships, and had a wonderful network of friends. Carolyn was a graduate of Conneaut High School and was active in planning class reunions. Carolyn's maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins were an important part of her life and she remained close with family members in Michigan and Ohio throughout her life. Carolyn is survived by her brother Jim (Katie) Slider of Tennessee, daughter Rebecca (Tim) Hanneman of Titusville, PA, grandchildren Douglas "DJ" (Ashley Stowers) Bowers, step-grandchildren Olivia (Matt) Springer of Jefferson, and Andrew Hanneman of Austinburg, and great-grandchildren MaKenzie, Whitney, Kaci, and Mason. Carolyn passed away peacefully at the home of her companion Jack Soltis. At her request, no calling hours or service will be held.
