Charles E. Howe Jr., 65, of Madison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and lifelong passions.
He was born on September 13, 1960, in Cleveland, OH, to parents Charles Howe Sr. and JoAnn Urvanek.
Charles had a deep love for classic rock music and was a true car enthusiast. He especially enjoyed racing at Painesville Speedway and following NASCAR. He was known for his love of "Three Stooges" humor and for spending time thrifting, always on the hunt for what he liked to call "rusty gold finds" for himself and his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Vanek) Howe; Katy (Rich) Tarnosky, Christina (John) Isheim, Charles Howe III, and David Howe. He was a cherished grandfather to Zack, Shelby (Stephen), Shawn, Shana, Evan, and Shyanne; and a great-grandfather to Myles. Charles is also survived by his siblings, Dennis (Cathy) Howe, Terry (Pete) Dunaway, Kenny (Arlene) Howe, Billy (Sharron) Howe, and Sandi (Bob) Sapatka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and JoAnn (Urvanek) Howe; and his brother, Dale Howe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4, 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
