Obituary

Charles William "Charlie" Luikart II, 78, of Geneva, Ohio passed away at his home on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Charlie was born June 7, 1945 at Lake County Memorial Hospital in Painesville, Ohio the son of Elwyn "Bud" Garnett Luikart and Muriel Alice (Dewey) Luikart.
He was a 1963 graduate of Madison High School and worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Schneider where he was a member of the 3-million-mile club. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching all Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes, classic cars, car cruise shows, drag racing, and loved spending time with his dog, Maxi. His vices were eating very spicey foods and smoking cigars.
Charlie is survived by his sister, Gloria "Jeanne" Jones of Village Mills, TX; niece, Vicki Hartman and her husband, David of Lometa, TX; nephew, Jeff Jones and his wife, Glenna or Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Steve Jones and his wife, Deanna of Corinth, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwyn "Bud" Garnett Luikart and Muriel Alice (Dewey) Luikart; brother, Robert "Bob" Luikart of Riverside, CA who was a retired Major and pilot in the US Air Force; brother-in-law, David Jones of Village Mills, TX.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In place of flowers, contributions can be made to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 OH-45, Austinburg, OH 44010 or the Ashtabula Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
