Charles R Musgrave

Charlie Musgrave of Mentor OH, husband of Christine (Norsic), son of Charles & Ann (Lausin) Musgrave, brother of James (Jim) Musgrave, peacefully passed into heaven on Monday, Sept 22nd aged 81 years.
Charlie was born in Collinwood in 1944, and went on to graduate from CHS in 1963. He enlisted in the Army and went on serve in Vietnam, helping set up the 25th Infantry Division basecamp at Cu Chi. Upon returning from his military service, Charlie married the love of his life, Christine, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. Charlie worked for OH Bell/Ameritech/AT&T for 30 years.

Charlie enjoyed all sports and loved to compete! In 1975 he was a key member of the Pyramid Café softball team which was crowned ASA Open World Champion. Charlie pitched and was named All American and in 1997 was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame. When Charlie was not on the diamond you could often find him bowling, shooting pool and later, playing golf. He enjoyed coaching his own children in their athletic endeavors, and then relished cheering on his grandchildren as they competed in various sports. Charlie was a 40 year Browns season ticket holder. He enjoyed frequent casino trips with friends, family, and especially the "Bell Guys".

Charlie is survived by his wife, Christine and his three children Carol (Oglesbee), Charlie Musgrave Jr, and Cindie (Sekely). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Breanna (Becker), Daulton (Sekely) , Lily and Marcie (Oglesbee), and Greyson and Audrey (Musgrave).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov 16th 2025.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 29801 Lakeland Blvd. Wickliffe, Ohio.
