Christine Lynn Morris, age 60, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at UH Geneva Medical Center. Christine was born on February 25, 1961, in Chardon, Ohio to the late Joseph Kovach, Jr. and Carol Vaughn. She graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1979 and shortly after married the love of her life, Kevin E. Morris, on December 9, 1981 in Jefferson, Ohio. She worked many years in different nursing homes as an STNA and also worked in the restaurant industry as a server. Christine enjoyed singing and, in fact, some would say she sounded just like Loretta Lynn. Along with singing, she enjoyed disco dancing, bowling, trips with her family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and most importantly just simply being with her family.
Christine is survived by her children; Daniel P. Morris "Baby Boy", Lisa M. Simon (Montville, Ohio) and Sean M. Corrigan (Madison, Ohio); grandchildren, Shane Corrigan, John Corrigan and Audriana Corrigan (Sissy); siblings, Diane Gray, Jerry Sparks, and Billy Hale.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin E. Morris (July 31, 2021); Daughter, Jennifer M. Corrigan "Sis" (January 15, 2022); parents, Joseph Kovach Jr, Carol Vaughn, and step-father, Jonas Sparks; grandparents, John Chiroan and Audrey Chiroan.
A private family visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 12-2pm and a public memorial service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12-2pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041. Burial will follow in Hartsgrove Cemetery.
The family requests that masks please be worn by all visitors during the visitation and memorial service.
