Cindy Denise Kangas, 65, of Saybrook Township, Ohio passed away Wednesday September 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born October 17, 1957 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to Don and Chris Nicholson. On October 30, 1976 she married Arne Kangas and together they shared more than 46 years of love and memories.
Cindy graduated from Cleveland State University with a degree in Bio Sciences and worked several years in the lab at the Cleveland Clinic. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, gardening, and raised many plants and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Arne Kangas of Saybrook Township; children, Lorraine (Donald) Canter, Janet Staub, Erica (Jay) Vysniauskas, and Jarrod Kangas; grandchildren, Andrew Kangas, Joshua Kangas, Gage Kangas, Owen Canter, and Sheldon Staub; parents, Don and Chris Nicholson; siblings, Cheryl, Betty, and Donnie.
Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmitt (Buck) and Margaret Nicholson.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
