Clifford "Cliff" D. Holroyd, 79, of Madison, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023.
He was born on April 28, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert and Vira (Ruess) Holroyd.
Cliff attended Lutheran East High School, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio where he graduated from in 1962. On March 13, 1965, Cliff married the love of his life, Pat (Ball) Holroyd. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up and participate in their activities. Cliff was an avid bowling enthusiast, loved all things involving classic cars, and was a lifetime Cleveland sports fan. He was also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison, Ohio.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Pat Holroyd; children, Cindy (Rick) Valvoda, and Cliff (Chris) Holroyd; grandchildren, Nick Valvoda, Becca (Dan) Buehner, Emily Holroyd, Jake Holroyd, and Alex Holroyd; great-grandchildren, Scarlet Buehner, Mia Buehner, and Alex Buehner. Also surviving are his siblings, Bob (Karla) Holroyd, and Mike Holroyd.
He was preceded in death by grandson, Ben Valvoda; parents, Robert and Vira Holroyd; grandparents, Harry and Loretta Ruess; uncle, Eddy Ruess; and best friend, Don Begin.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. with Memorial Service beginning at 4 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3050 McMackin Road, Madison, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, Cliff's family asks for donations to be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio, assisted the family with arrangements.
