Dale L. Lewis, 66, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Saybrook, OH. He was born on September 19, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert and Alice Lewis, who preceded him in death.
Dale was a proud graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1977, and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He went on to build a long and dedicated career as a master auto technician, working for over 30 years in the automotive industry. Known for his skill and passion, Dale held many ASE certifications and had a natural talent for anything mechanical.
He married Sheila on July 30, 1988, in Madison, OH and the two spent the next 38 years together.
Dale enjoyed a wide range of hobbies and interests. He loved fishing, boating, camping, working on cars and motorcycles, and online gaming. He especially enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical and could often be found fixing or improving something. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and beloved pets.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Lewis; his children, Crystal (Joshua) King III, Adrianne McFadden, and Eric and Andrew Takacs; and his cherished grandchildren, Adam, Alexis, Colin, Austin, Hailey, Brandon, Jenevieve, Desiree, Ryley, and LJ. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeff Lewis of Ashtabula and Marjorie Lewis of Ashtabula, along with extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolores "Joyce" Gaxiola, Floyd and Alberta Lee; his aunt, Carol Lee; his nephew, James Lewis; and his beloved family dog, Juno.
A memorial celebration of Dale's life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Geneva Township Park, Main Pavilion.
Dale will be remembered for his dedication, his mechanical ingenuity, and the love he had for his family, friends, and the simple joys of life.
