Daniel Joseph Barnum passed away on October 16, 2021 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born in Ashtabula on June 29, 1992 to Samantha and the late Raymond "Stoney" Barnum. Daniel was a loyal son, brother, father, and friend. He could always be counted on if someone needed help with something. He would give you the shirt off his back and not think twice about it. He would stop and help complete strangers if they were broken down on the side of the road.
A jack of all trades, he was a certified welder along with being skilled in electrical work. He loved anything with wheels and he could drive anything with a motor. There were many times he got caught driving the lawn mower down the street as a child. An excellent mechanic, Daniel was always the happiest and the angriest when working on vehicles.
Daniel is survived by his mother Samantha of Ashtabula, his stepmother Suzy (Dave) Stracola of Orwell, his children; Dakota, Faith, Abel, and his his newest daughter is expected in November 2021, his sister; Tabitha (Paul) of Madison, brothers; Dalton (Angie) of Orwell and Wyatt (Paige) of Niles, and sisters; Emily and Miranda (Kane) of Ashtabula. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond "Stoney" Barnum, his maternal grandparents Ted and Joanne (Kalmar) Fox, and his paternal grandmother Helen Steerman.
