Daniel James Fleming, age 52, of Willowick, passed away peacefully in his home on October 10, 2025. Daniel was born in Mentor, Ohio on January 18th, 1973. Daniel attended Kiski Prep School in Murrysville, PA and John Carroll University in Cleveland. He conquered the skies as a Pilot with his exciting solo flights! He also had success as an accomplished Division I diving champion in high school and college. His love of water continued throughout his life, extending to his children who have fond memories of his swimming lessons and the joyful horseplay which often ensued. Daniel's charismatic charm was especially loved by children and the elderly. His professional career landed him at RTI in Solon, OH. as a sales representative who was soon chosen to oversee the company's move to Texas. He remained in Texas to manage a department for RTI in Sugarland, dealing with Boeing and Airbus, titanium and wings! His work took him to Seattle, Toulouse in Southern France, Airbus headquarters in Italy and other EU Countries. Daniel had a lifelong love of animals, spanning from reptiles to dogs and fish. He had fond tales of his first Tarantula, Tina, as a child and most recently his dearest dog, Gemma. He was an advocate for dogs in Lake Co., volunteering his time at local shelters. Daniel was the proud father of the loves of his life, sons Gabriel Laurence Fleming and Gavin James Fleming, grandsons Logan Fleming, and Clayton Fleming. He is also survived by his mother, Melanie Hribar Nicolaidis, step father, Nicholas A. Nicolaidis (of Athens, Greece), sister, Gina R. Galetti, uncles, Leonard Hribar (Hope), Daniel Hribar (Kathy), Michael Hribar, Mark Hribar (Doreen); and aunt Gail Hribar,; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews; their boys' mother, Jenifer Horn; and three very special friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Fleming; uncle, Larry Hribar; great aunt, Dolly Ward (Jim), and his much beloved grandparents, Laurence B. Hribar and Marjorie G. Hribar (nee Pavlovich). On October 10th, 2025, Daniel took his last solo flight...into the Wild Blue Yonder...and will FOREVER be our shining star. To my Daniel, my beautiful son...you had a heart that was all about love....I Love you, Mom.
