Daniel "Dan" Alan Harper, age 78, of Ashtabula, OH., passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at Country Club Retirement Center. Dan was born on October 21st, 1945, in Conneaut, OH., to parents Donald and Mary Louise (Kemp) Harper. Dan was a graduate of Edgewood Senior High School, and then went on to manage Covered Bridge in North Kingsville for many years. Dan eventually retired from PET Processors in Painesville, OH., after many years there. He had a passion for fishing and the outdoors and was a proud member of the Elks Club, American Legion, and the Moose in Conneaut. Dan is survived by his loving children, Darin (Paula) Harper, and Danielle (Shawn) Madill; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Kirista) Harper, Jesse (Kayla) Harper, Cassandra Harper, Dr. Taylor (Dr. Kortney) Dufour, Tyler (Gina) Dufour, and Trent (Kayla) Dufour. Dan is also survived by his beloved great grandchildren, Sicily Harper, JoJo Harper, Jameson Harper, and Bailey Harper. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mary Louise (Kemp) Harper and his brother, Doug Harper. There will be no immediate services, the family will announce a Celebration of Life at a future date.
