Danny Ray Butler, 69, of Painesville Township, passed away Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Danny was married to his wife, Janet Butler, for 44 years before his passing. He was born on July 26th, 1956, in Spencer, West Virginia to Carlos and Nellie Butler. Before being honorably discharged, Danny served for two years in the United States Army, stationed at the Panama Canal. He worked for decades at Lake Erie Iron in Painesville before going to school to obtain his CDL and getting the job he always wanted—driving a truck. Following in the footsteps of his father, Danny enjoyed riding his motorcycle and shooting pool.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Butler; and his two sons, Adam and Chad (Angela) Butler. He was beloved by his three granddaughters, Morgane (Jonathan) Roberts, Charley Butler, and Ayla Butler; and great-granddaughter, Lilah Roberts. Danny is also survived by his eldest and youngest sisters, Connie (Richard) Roediger, and Theresa Carnish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Nellie Butler; and his two brothers, Ricky and Jackie Butler.
