Daren Taylor Dodge, 51, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones and friends after a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 24, 1970 in Mentor, Ohio, the son of John and Karen (Dietz) Dodge and graduated from Mentor High School. On July 14, 2001 he married Konnie Stewart at the gazebo in downtown Painesville, Ohio and together they shared more than 20 years of love and memories.
Daren worked at Reilly Renovations, was in Boy Scouts, and loved sailing and golf. He was also a big fan of Star Wars and Star Trek and enjoyed collecting swords and daggers.
He is survived by his wife, Konnie Dodge; sons, Randy (Danielle) Labbato and Craig Labbato; daughter, Kristen (Julio) Sichique; grandchildren, Tristan Marmolejo, Mackenzie Marmolejo, Cassidy Labbato, Seth Labbato, Keith Labbato, Gavin Labbato, Bryce Labbato, Aubrey Rodriguez, and also adopted and took into his heart many children that only knew him as grandpa; parents, John and Karen (Dietz) Dodge; maternal grandparents, Adel and Herbert Dietz; paternal grandparents, Kathleen and William Dodge; brother, Trever Dodge.
A Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio. A reception will immediately follow the service at 6821 Rolling Acres Court, Painesville, Ohio 44077. A Celebration of Life service will also be held at 5pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Helen Hazen Wyman Park, 6101 Painesville Warren Road, Concord, Ohio 44077.
