Darrin Lee Sheldon, 60, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed Sunday evening, May 25, 2025 at Seidman Cancer Center, University Hospitals, Cleveland.
Darrin was born in Painesville, Ohio, December 6, 1964. He was the son of Joan Laverne Tilton Sheldon and Harold Charles Sheldon, Jr. He married Michelle Mosher Withrow, the love of his life, June 24, 2003, in Ashtabula, Ohio. On November 23, 2004, they welcomed their son, Dylan Lee Sheldon into the world.
Darrin enjoyed a variety of work, including restaurant manager, travelling ceiling light technician, over-the-road trucker, and his last work, asbestos abatement, retiring two years ago. The jobs he enjoyed most included seeing various parts of the country, from coast to coast and from top to bottom.
He leaves behind his parents, Joan Sheldon and Harold (Harry) Sheldon, his son Dylan, his sister Angela (Angie) Marie Shelton( Glenn) of Charlotte, NC, his brother Harry Charles Sheldon, Jr., of Ashtabula, and his step-sister Amy Gaddis Szabo (Terry) of Mentor, his step-daughter, Summer Withrow, his step-sons Vincent Withrow and Joseph Marquez, and his step-mother, Annette Sheldon. He will be sorely missed by his many cousins, nieces and nephews, his co-workers, and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Edna Sheldon, Clarence and Gladys Tilton, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Earnest Mosher and Linda Brown Mosher, and Darrin and Michelle's infant daughter, Caitlyn Marie Angela Sheldon.
There will be no calling hours, indoor funeral, or gathering, according to Darrin's wishes.
The family will meet at the graveside in Austinburg Center Cemetery, on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00am, with the Rev. Jeremy Roseberry of Jefferson United Methodist Church presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, in memory of Baby Caitlyn and her parents.
