David Lawrence Diehl

David Lawrence Diehl, age 83, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away on September 30, 2026, at the Ashtabula Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 28, 1943, in Dysart, Pennsylvania to the late David Henry and Myrtle (Zimmerman) Diehl.

David worked at various plastic factories and animal habitats for many years. He was a great cook and loved to cook for other people. He also enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Music and woodworking as a hobby.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Donald Gibson, Jennifer Stevens-Lipps (Rodger), Michael Gibson, Joseph Jarrell, George Jarrell, Kari Jenkins, Lori Jenkins; brother, Donald Diehl of Seaford, Delaware.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David Henry and Myrtle (Zimmerman) Diehl; siblings, “Kate” Catherine Dickey, Leslie Diehl, Louis Diehl, and Nancy (Diehl) Cromwell.

A private graveside service will be held in mid-October at Beaver Valley Cemetery in Flinton, Pennsylvania (Cambria County).

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
