David Oliver Moisio, 79, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, at Jefferson Health Care.
He was born June 8, 1943, in Ashtabula, Ohio to Oliver and Lempi (Heitanen) Moisio. When he as young. he helped on the family farm and was a member of the Boy Scouts. He spent much of his time in the woods and built a log bridge over Mill Creek. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1961. After graduation, he served 4 years in the US Navy where he was trained as an electrician before his honorable discharge. On September 25, 1965, he married Ann V. Longstaff at Zion Lutheran Church and together they shared over 57 years of love and memories.
David worked as an electrician for Millenium Chemicals and retired as an electrician supervisor. He built his own home in Denmark Township with the help of his father. In his spare time, he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, loved cars and nature, taking rides through Ohio and Pennsylvania, and antique shopping with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann V. Moisio of Jefferson; son, Charles David Moisio; grandchildren, Sasha Marie and Mitchel Christopher; great-grandchildren, Rose and Luck; siblings, Kathryn E. Fassett, Rebecca I. Broderick, and Thomas C. Moisio.
David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven R. Moisio.
The family would like to thank the A Wing staff at Jefferson Health Care for the loving care they gave David.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
