Deborah Louise Kemp, 72, passed away on April 16, 2026, at her home in Andover, Ohio.
She was born on November 25, 1953, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Shirley (Dibell) and Harley Simon and was a graduate of Jefferson High School.
Debbie's love and devotion to her family and friends was truly unbelievable. Her children and 15 grandkids were the heart of her strength and what kept her fighting. She lived her life giving to others, and she did everything in a big way; from holiday dinners that could feed an army, to her over-the-top parties.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially garage sales and shopping, and she took great pride in her antiques and treasured collections. Debbie's warmth, humor, and giving nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Matthew (Kelley) Kemp, Amy (Shawn) Hurst, and John (Carla) Troyer; her beloved grandchildren, Scott, Andy, Brandon, Hunter, Mackenzie, Natalie, Harley, Amaya, Aubree, Grace, Cora, Paige, Walker, Caragan, and Cassidy; and her siblings, Jerry Simon, Pam Griffiths, and Vicki Switzer.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, John Troyer Jr.; her parents, Shirley and Harley Simon; her children, William Rodger Kemp Jr. and William Michael Kemp; and her siblings, Joyce Simon, Doug Simon, and Greg Simon.
A celebration of Debbie's life will be held at a later date. She will eventually be laid to rest in Gustavus, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reserve Care Hospice (formerly Hospice of the Western Reserve).
