Denise Miller, 70, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at UH Geneva Medical Center.

She was born August 30, 1955, in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and June Lister, and was a graduate of Geneva Area High School.

On June 18, 1977, she married the love of her life, Michael E. Miller Sr., in Geneva, Ohio. Together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and simple joys.

She enjoyed doing puzzles on her iPad, listening to country music with her husband, and watching the many birds that gathered at her feeders. Denise enjoyed her retirement years by being home with her husband and spending time with her family. She held many people in her heart, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, George Strait, and Patrick Mahomes—the order of importance is anyone's guess!

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael E. Miller Sr.; her children, Tonya Miller, Jessica (Frank) Obhof, and Michael (Stephanie) Miller; and her cherished grandchildren, Tristan Cecil, Michael Cecil, Olivia Best, Kortney Best, Jailyn Alderman, Jordyn Alderman, Sydney Miller, and Kylie Miller.
She is also survived by her siblings, Kathy (Bill) Tobias, Robert (Kristina) Lister, Paul Lister, and Daniel (Jeanette) Lister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Lister.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041. A reception will immediately follow at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 30 Lockwood Street, Geneva, Ohio 44041.

Denise will be remembered for her warmth, her gentle spirit, and the deep love she held for her family. She leaves behind many treasured memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew her.
