Donald W. "Don" Goddard, 79, of Geneva, Ohio passed away at his family home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, after a prolonged illness.
He was born April 20, 1945, in Knoxville, Tennessee to Harry and Leana Goddard and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee. On June 20, 1987, he married Betti Swartz and together they shared 37 years of love and memories.
Don worked at the Perry Power Plant for 30 years. In his free time, he held various offices and was President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Geneva and in 2006 received the Eastern Crabbet Arabian Horse Society Service Award.
He is survived by his wife Betti Goddard; children Rebecca Mosier (Michael) and Dan Schneider; grandchildren, Nick Mullen, Delaina Mullen, Brandon Schneider, and Madelyn Schneider; great-grandchildren, Kyler Mullen, Irelynn Mullen, and Miles Norris.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Leana Goddard; brother, Reed Goddard; grandchild, Daniel Mullen.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services,1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
