Donald R. Wimer, Sr., 59, of Ashtabula, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born February 26, 1962 in Ashtabula, the son of the late Gaylord and Rhoda (Buckley) Wimer.
Donald loved the outdoors and enjoyed going down to the creek collecting rocks, bottles, sticks, and anything else he found interesting. He also enjoyed photography, listening to Rock-N-Roll music, and was an excellent woodworker and craftsman and loved his antique furniture.
He is survived by his children: Tiffany (Jay) Christine, Jason Thayer, and Donny Wimer, Jr.; 13 grandkids; brothers: Jim (Roberta) Wimer, Kenny (Cora) Wimer, and Ron (Dorothy) Wimer; sisters: Charlotte Newbold, and Nancy Wimer.
Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Dustin Wimer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Service, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva assisted the family with arrangements.
