Donna Jean Stone, age 83, of Austinburg, OH., passed away from a sudden illness at her family home in Austinburg, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Donna was born on May 16, 1941, in Painesville, OH., to parents Leroy and Mildred Bixel and was a graduate of Madison High School. She wed William Stone, on May 22, 1959. After marrying the love of her life, Donna worked side by side with her husband on the Stone Family Dairy Farm. She learned and excelled at operating any piece of equipment necessary on the farm. Donna and her husband were farmers and all around "jack of all trades' for the first ten years of marriage. She began driving school bus for Geneva in 1969. Donna drove for multiple districts over the years, including Geneva and Jefferson, totaling 49 plus years keeping our children safe to and from school. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Stone; children, Bill (Marianne) Stone II, Owen (Eileen) Stone, and Toni Stone; grandchildren, Bill Stone III, Owen L. (Abbe Brake) Stone, Allyson (Tony) Abrizino, Susan (Adam) Bogard, William (Kalindi) Bell, and Rebecca Stone. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Conner, Lydia, Kaitlyn, Melanie, Mackenzie, Tucker, Jamison, Addilynn, and Aurora; siblings, Terrie and Ray Lewis, and Barbra Reninger. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Mildred Bixel, grandparents, and Garner Cole (spouse of Rebecca Stone). A celebration of life will be held at her home on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 2pm-7pm, open to family, friends, and neighbors. The family would like to thank everyone who brought a smile to her.
