Doris Lucille Baer, age 93, of Orwell, OH., passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Doris was known by many as "Grandma Bear". She enjoyed child care and she provided care for many children over the years. Doris was an avid reader of the Bible and other books and loved to travel and spend time with her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Susan E. Chapin of Greene, OH, and Cheryl West of North Beach, MD. Doris is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Wiberg of Farmdale, OH., Matthew West of North Beach, MD., Melinda Watts of MD., and Hannah Paratore of Greene, OH., her ten great-grandchildren, and her four great-great-grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her siblings, Edith Prettiman of PA., David Riser of OR., and Richard Riser of UT. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles R. Baer, her son Charles A. Baer, and her great granddaughter Rebecca S. Schmidt. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the future.
