Dorothy J. "Dottie" Miller, 72, of Dorset, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 22, 1948 in Newton Falls, Ohio the daughter of the late James and Cleda Bethel. On July 16, 1969 Dorothy married Michael Miller and together they shared 52 years of love and memories.
Dorothy was a devoted grandmother, mother, wife, sister and aunt and loved her family deeply. She enjoyed caring for her family, spending time with loved ones, crochet, puzzles, watching reality T.V. shows and cooking shows, collecting pigs, angels and dream catchers. She had a strong Christian faith and a love of nature where she enjoyed bird watching, especially humming birds and cardinals and her favorite flowers were pink carnations.
She was known for being strong and a fighter against her battle with cancer. She is now home with the Lord and will forever be remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Michael Miller of Dorset, Ohio; children, Mike (Sue) Miller, Eddie Miller, and Tammy LeRoy; grandchildren, Brittany Sisson, Jeremy LeRoy, Cathy (Carl) Arnold, Danny (Stephanie) Hartman; Melvin Miller Jr., Titus Miller, Timmy Miller, and Tina Sisson; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Joan) Bethel of Florida, Nancy (Rick) Brenizer of Garfield Heights, Ohio; 10 nieces and nephews
Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Cleda Bethel; son,Melvin Miller on August 3, 2020; siblings, Barbara (B.G) Bethel, Johnny Bethel, JoAnn Troeter, and Jesse Bethel.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Seidman Cancer Center, the Hospice Aids and Nurses Home Care.
A private service will be held by close family.
Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
