Douglas Lee Witek, 55, of North Kingsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, April 1, 2023, following a sudden illness. Doug was born to the late Benedict and Genevieve Witek (Greenfield) on January 5, 1968, in Conneaut Ohio. He was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula County, graduating from Edgewood Sr. High School and the VO-ED in 1986. A welder by trade, he loved to build and fabricate.

Doug married Mary Tibbens on June 25, 2004. Any weekend they could be found fishing, camping, at the races, or watching the Steelers game.

Loving father of Danika (David) Johnson; Papa to AJ, Janessa, David Jr, Izabella, Hadlee and Bryce. Little brother of Debbie Witek and Sandy (Mark) McKinney.

In lieu of flowers, Doug's family asks for his friends and family to play a couple of songs on the jukebox in his memory and raise a drink to his name. They would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their phenomenal care and support.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, April 8, 2023, at The Jefferson Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3881 from 2-5 p.m.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio, assisted the family with arrangements.
