Duane "Tony" Allyn Calvo, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Tony was born on June 5, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Kathleen Boyer and Rosario Calvo. He grew up alongside his siblings, Rosario Boyer and Barbara Smrekar.

Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a deep passion for cooking and spent much of his career as a chef, including time at Best Friends Family Restaurant in Geneva and The Crow's Nest in Ashtabula, where he was known for his dedication and talent in the kitchen.

Outside of work, Tony found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and cherished the time spent doing what he loved most.

Tony is survived by his children: Brandy Nelson, Nicole Calvo, Anthony Calvo, Mario Calvo, and Dominic Calvo; grandchildren, Cody and Miranda Calvo; niece, Christina Popson; and nephew, David Buffington. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the many memories he created with those closest to him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration on April 10, 2026, from 1:00p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041.
