Dylan Michael Wludyga, age 38, of Dorset, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Jefferson Healthcare from complications of brain cancer. He was born May 27, 1986, in Claridon, Ohio, to Helen L. Wludyga and Michael "Casey" Wludyga, and attended school at Happy Hearts, and satellite units at Braden, St. John, and Lakeside High School. In addition, he worked at Ashcraft Industries and touched the heart of everyone he met. He was the perpetual greeter everywhere he went and said "Hi" to everyone and shook their hand. He was always happy and made everyone around him happy also.
Dylan was involved with the Special Olympics for 30 years participating in softball, basketball, and track. He loved being active with these teams and with all his fellow athletes, volunteers, and coaches. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, and especially loved bowling with his friends at Jefferson Lanes and eating the food there! He is survived by his father, Michael "Casey" Wludyga; sisters, Dakota (Bob) Knox, Courtney Baker, and Kayla Wludyga; niece, Corinne Baker; nephews, Maddox and Jace Slapnicker.
Dylan was preceded in death by his mother, Helen L Wludyga on November 15, 2019; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Bucko; paternal grandparents, Steven and Beverly Wludyga.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio from 1:00pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3:30pm. The burial will be in Dorset Cemetery on a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Ashtabula County Special Olympics, 1119 Lake Road, Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
