Edward "Ed" Emmett McGrath, age 67, of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1958, in Cleveland, OH, to parents William and Adelle McGrath and was a 1976 graduate of Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland, OH. Ed was a jack of all trades, a handyman that could fix anything. He was Catholic in faith, and he loved barbecuing, classic cars, and was a Cleveland Browns sympathizer. Ed is survived by his children, Margaret, Edward Jr., and Lauren; granddaughter, Ruby; siblings, Stacey, Patrick, and Mary Kay. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, William and Adelle McGrath; and brothers, William, and Thomas. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm, at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 29801 Lakeland Blvd, Wickliffe, OH 44092. Ed will be buried at Mentor Cemetery at a future date by his family.
