Elisabeth S. "Libby" Ughrin, 75, of New Lyme, Ohio passed away after a brief illness with cancer on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Born December 8, 1947 in Colebrook, Ohio, she was the youngest child of John M. and Mildred E. Ughrin. Libby attended Colebrook Elementary School and graduated from Grand Valley High School.
A factory worker her whole life, Libby retired in 2021 to thoroughly enjoy the simple pleasures of working on the farm and in her yard, caring for her dogs and cows, and antiquing/flea marketing on the weekends with her life-long partner, Fred L. Stringfellow. Theirs was a story of true love. With striking blue eyes, Elisabeth was as beautiful a woman as she was a person. She was a hardworking and kind-hearted farm woman, she loved her family and friends, and they loved her. Libby will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.
