Elizabeth "Betty" Gockerell, 72, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Rae Ann Nursing Home after a short illness.
She was born March 4, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Adolph and Mary Barrette.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Shelly Gockerell; siblings, Nancy Hamblin of Madison, Ohio, Norma Krauss of Unionville, Ohio, Benny "Duke" Barrette of Spring Hill, Florida, and Tammy Novak of Madison, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her children, John Gockerell Jr. and Scott Gockerell; parents, Adolph and Mary Barrette; sister, Lillian "Gayle" Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to the residents and staff at Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva for the special love and care given to Betty during the past few years that she resided there.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
