Eugenia R. Stroeter, age 62, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on the morning of Thursday, January 2, 2025. Born on August 3, 1962, to Eugene and Janice Headley, Gina spent most of her life in Conneaut, where she built a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness. A graduate of Kent State University, she pursued her passion for education, earning a teaching degree and dedicating her career to nurturing and inspiring young minds at Pymatuning Valley Schools. Gina's life was a testament to the power of love and devotion. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her favorite pastimes included baking, sewing, reading and teaching, but her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Justin Stroeter, Courtney Leonard (husband Jesse Leonard), and Cody Stroeter. Gina's memory will also live on through her beloved grandchildren, Emalynn Leonard, Easton Leonard, and Karah Stroeter; and her sister, Donna Brunty; her niece, Stephanie Brunty; and her nephew, Joshua Brunty. Gina is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, James Stroeter; her parents, Eugene and Janice Headley; and her siblings, Mark Headley and Adam Headley. Calling hours will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041. A private gathering for immediate family will take place from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m., with public calling hours to follow from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Following the ceremony, Gina will be cremated. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Pierpont, Ohio, at a later date during a private burial. Gina will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering dedication to her family, and the countless lives she touched through her teaching and acts of kindness.
