Francis D. Plante "Donald", age 86, of Dearborn, Michigan (formerly of Melvindale, MI), passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 28th, 2024, at his home in Beaumont Commons. He was born on January 6, 1938, to parents Henry A. Plante, and Gabrielle B. Gagnon. Donald loved " up North" in Michigan where he spent so much time fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Donald was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps., serving many years until his honorable discharge in Nov. of 1964. He worked most of his life as a steel mill worker and was very skilled, he also spent a lot of his free time doing carpentry and metal working projects. He was the worlds best uncle to his dear family. Donald is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Jeff (Rhonda) Koziol of Michigan, Kim ( Bob) Dolan of South Carolina, Perry (Amiee) Koziol of Michigan, Kellie Murphy (Koziol) of South Carolina, and Scott (Stephanie) Koziol of Michigan. Uncle Donald is also survived by 11 loving great nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services, but his life will be celebrated with his family in Michigan at a future date when they can all be together.
