Frederick Charles Pearson, 101 years-old, of Madison, Ohio, passed away at his home on Monday, August 16, 2021.
He was born August 8, 1920 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada the son of the late Frederick C. Pearson and Diana S. (Warren) Pearson. After graduation, Fred served in the US Army in World War II from September 21, 1942 to November 9, 1945 and fought in several major European campaigns. After his honorable discharge, he married Irene Lillian Molesworth in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 28, 1946 and together they shared over 75 years of love and memories.
Fred was a hard-working man and worked for Rayon (both before and after his military service), Pesco, Reliance Electric, and Perfection Corp. retiring on August 8, 1985. In his spare time, he was a Ham Radio Operator, played Santa at several rest homes and other organizations, attended the Church of Christ, and was the President of the 453rd AAA Battalion Association attached to the 83rd Infantry Division.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Irene Pearson of Madison, Ohio; children: C. Bruce (Daphne), Jame E. (Marina), Marilyn, Fredrick "Rick", and Robert S.; grandchildren: Michael, Jeremy, Matthew, Sarah, Lillian, Louie, Cherie, and Lynn; great-grandchildren: Christian, Kali, Alayna, Elyssa, Edmund, Dalton, Gideon, Scarlett, Charley, and Caitlin; sister, Diana Victoria (Pearson) Carver.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Frederick C. Pearson and Diana S. (Warren) Pearson; brother, Robert Warren Pearson.
No services will be held. Fred will be buried in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
The family wishes to send a special "Thank You" for all of the help given to Fred and his family by the VA Association of Cleveland and Willoughby, Hospice of the Western Reserve, and Lake County Council on Aging.
Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva assisted the family with arrangements.
