Frederick (Fred) P. Wheeler, 67, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born January 13, 1955 in Conneaut, Ohio, and was a steel worker with the United Steel Workers until his retirement in 2015. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, visiting casinos, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Fred is survived by his son, Clayton (fiancé, Mae) Wheeler; parents, Carolyn and James Johnston; step-mother, Mary Wheeler; fiancé, Jody; siblings, Cheryl, Phil, Chris, Cindy, Kim, Ben, Ray, June and Julie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Wheeler; father, Cyrus B. Wheeler; grandson, John Cyrus Wheeler.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date this year.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
