Gary G. Herroon, 81, of Geneva passed away peacefully December 12, 2021 at UH Geneva Medical Center in the presence of Loved Ones. He was born December 2, 1940 in Painesville, Ohio the son of the late Raymond Charles and Madaline (Storm) Herroon and graduated from Harvey High School class of 1958. After graduation, Gary served in the US Army from 1960-1963 in Hanau, Germany before being honorably discharged. Gary was a member of the Episcopal church where he was instrumental in establishing The Lunch Program at St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville. He was also active in several fraternal organizations including Temple Lodge #28, F&AM in Painesville, Covered Bridge Chapter #591, Order of the Eastern Star in Rock Creek, Cornerstone Club, Northeastern Ohio Chapter #12 Sons of the American Revolution, and Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland 32nd Degree.
He is survived by his significant other and life partner, Judy Troyan of Geneva, OH; brother, David Herroon of Hilliard, OH; several nieces and nephews; and his 6 faithful feline friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Charles and Madaline (Storm) Herroon; sister, Jeannette White; niece, Jill Ann White. A Graveside Service will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio, on Thursday, May 12th, 2022, at 12pm (385 Riverside Dr., Painesville, OH., 44077).
