Gary L. Howe

Gary L. Howe, 63, peacefully passed away on Thursday May 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 21, 1963, in Ashtabula to Bonnie (Campbell) and David Howe.

Gary graduated from Harbor High School in 1981, where he excelled in football and wrestling. He then attended Glenville State College where he was a great linebacker. He loved spending time with his family and lifelong friends as well as the great friends he made at work. He loved fishing of all kinds, hunting, camping and all Cleveland teams and especially Ohio State Football.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Howe; his grandparents, Bud and Genivive Howe; his father-in-law, John McConnell and sisters-in-law Lauren Howe and Pam Howe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Lisa (McConnell) Howe; his daughters, Caitlyn Howe and Tiffany (Anthony) Stasi; grandchildren, Collin and Sophia; his mother, Bonnie Howe; mother-in-law, Pierrette McConnell. Also surviving are His brothers, Jeff, Brad and Tim; brothers-in-law, David (Joanne) McConnell and Willie (Cheryl) McConnell; sisters-in-law, Linda (Jim) Atzemis, Christine (Terry) Paradie and Rebecca (Mike) Trenn; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He worked at RMI sodium plant for many years and retired from Lubrizol Painesville in 2022 after 25 years of service.

A longtime member of the EAC and the American Legion Post 103 and recently a member of the ELKS Lodge #208.

He served in the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Specialist where he was Honorably Discharged.

There will be no calling hours, but a celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 12 to 3pm.
